Spread over an area of 845, 300 sq km, Vijayawada is a major, modern city of the southern states of Andhra Pradesh. Vijayawada doesn't have a direct sea link, but is about 70 Km far from the sea shore. It enjoys a fertile soil as it is situated above the fertile delta soil of the river Krishna. Vijayawada is connected with almost all other cities of India by all modern means of transportation. It is well equipped with many schools, colleges, university, dispensaries, offices and private companies, located throughout the city. The climate of the Vijayawada is nice but a little hot in the summer season.
