The train is scheduled in such a way that it travels through the night so that guests get to relax in 5-star comfort and arrive fresh the next morning at the next halt, to explore the destination during the day.

Breakfast and dinner will be served on board while lunch will be provided at the destination. Only on the final day will lunch be served on the train adn dinner at the Taj Residency Nasik.

Tickets for the train are priced at US$ 350 per head per day and are all-inclusive, except for the drinks and use of the health spa.

Catering and housekeeping on the Deccan Odyssey have been contracted to the Taj Group of hotels. "Our priority is to sell the full 7-day package but we will consider the option of also selling segments of the journey based on the availability of seats," says Singh.

Cancellation

(i) Cancellation must be advised by Fax/E-mail/Letter to the Central Reservation Devision at Head Office, Mumbai.
(ii) Rs. 300/- if the request is received before 60 days.
(iii) 20% of Ticket Value if cancellation is received within the period of 24-44 days from schedule date of departure.
(iv) 50% of ticket value if cancellation request is received within the period of 8-23 days from schedule date of departure.
(v) 100% of ticket value if cancellation request is received within the period of 7 days or before the schedule date of departure.
