Pushkar in Rajasthan is an important Hindu pilgrimage center. The Pushkar fair is held every year in the month of November. This is a mammoth cattle fair. Other important attractions of this site are its bazaars, auctions, music performances and sports. This fair is famous all over the world for the fact that camels are bought and sold on a large scale at this fair. The Rajasthan government sets up a self-sufficient village complete with a dining hall and a coffee shop. Traders from all over Rajasthan set up stalls at Pushkar with the aim of popularizing their traditional products like bead necklaces, clothing etc. Other activities like horse racing, body tattooing and donkey races are events that form an important part of joyous diversions at Pushkar, Rajasthan.
